Driver doing ‘burnouts’ plows into anti-Trump protesters outside SoFi Stadium
Several people were injured when a vehicle plowed into a crowd of pedestrians protesting President Donald Trump’s immigration policies near SoFi Stadium on Saturday.
The crash took place around 10:20 p.m. in the 4000 block of Century Boulevard. Witnesses told KTLA5 that someone driving a Dodge Charger was doing a “burnout” to impress onlookers when he lost control of the vehicle and it went into the crowd.
At least six victims were hospitalized, according to the station, which added unconfirmed reports that they included a 14-year-old and 16-year-old.
The driver, who was slightly injured, reportedly stayed at the scene to cooperate with police.
The crash occurred as fans were leaving the CONCACAF Gold Cup match between Mexico and the Dominican Republic at SoFi Stadium.
