Los Angeles police shoot at armed suspect in Northridge, investigation underway
NORTHRIDGE — Los Angeles Police Department officers responding to a call of a man with a gun outside a Northridge business shot at a suspect Sunday, prompting an investigation.
The original call was received about 7:45 p.m. Sunday in the 9200 block of Corbin Avenue, south of Plummer Street, LAPD Officer Tony Im told City News Service.
A news videographer at the scene said the suspect was taken by ambulance to a hospital in unknown condition. He said shots were fired in a parking lot near a restaurant that was open for business and that bullet casings were scattered throughout the parking lot.
There was no description of the alleged gunman other than that he was a man.
The LAPD promised more information will be shared “as it becomes available.”
