Postal carrier shot in South L.A.
A U.S. Postal Service carrier was shot in the arm on Monday, June 16, near the Green Meadows area of South Los Angeles, and police were searching for a suspect.
The shooting was reported at 11:40 a.m. in the area of Century Boulevard and Central Avenue, according to Los Angeles police.
The victim, believed to be about 35 years old, was conscious and breathing when taken to a hospital, LAPD Officer Drake Madison said.
The LAPD said the wounded man was a postal carrier.
It appears the carrier was shot in the alley.
The suspect was described as a male about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds, and wearing a black hat, black shirt and black pants.
