THE annual Gawad Probinsyudad Awards, presented at the New Taguig City Hall in Barangay Ususan, honored important national and regional government agencies as part of Taguig City's 438th Founding Anniversary celebration of history, unity, and growth.

The awards ceremony, part of the city's anniversary festivities, honored agencies whose steadfast partnerships have significantly contributed to Taguig's growth into a transformative, lively, and caring urban center.

Mayor Lani Cayetano, in her keynote message, paid tribute to the spirit of collaboration that drives the city forward.

"From our roots in 1587 to our official recognition of April 25 as Taguig's foundation day, we have come a long way. But beyond the timelines and milestones, it is the character of our people that has shaped our journey," she shared.

"Let us continue to honor our rich heritage not only through remembrance but by building a city where no one is left behind — a city that cares, uplifts, and dreams big for its people," Mayor Cayetano added.

The Gawad Probinsyudad plaques were awarded to the following agencies:

Department of Education (DepEd) TaPat and Central Office, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and DSWD-NCR, Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and DOST-Philippine Textile Research Institute, Department of Trade and Industry-NCR, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-NCR and DOLE NCR-Muntaparlas, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Laguna Lake Development Authority (LLDA), Department of Public Works and Highways, (DPWH)-Metro Manila 1st District Engineering Office, Bureau of Fire Protection-Taguig, Philippine National Police-Taguig City Police Station, National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

The theme for this year's centennial highlighted Taguig's ongoing dedication to inclusive growth and its goal of creating a city that is both historic and forward-thinking.

By recognizing these organizations through the Gawad Probinsyudad, the municipal administration demonstrates its commitment to cooperation and shared governance as the cornerstones of revolutionary advancement.
